UFO Sports Car Driving Enthusiasts and Friends Fabulous Fourth Fun Run begins with a day of back country driving on
Thurs. July 1st. We will meet at Scotts Valley, CA at 7:30 AM on Thursday July 1st to begin the trek. There will be 2 other
predetermined meeting points along the way northward for people who are coming from central valley locations or from
other points north. We have specifically mapped out stops for gas and lunch. We will end up on day one at Red Bluff, CA.
Hotel recommendations, meeting points, planned stops and trip schedule will be sent upon registration.
On Friday, July 2nd we will start with a Tour of CA Highway 36 from Red Bluff to Eureka, CA. This is the same route as the
famed and historic California Mille with miles of driving through towering redwood forests en route to Eureka. We will pause
at several spots along the way to take some photos and look at the grand vistas. Chris Obert is taking us up a side road
through the mountains where we will enjoy more twisty bits. We will arrive in Eureka late on Friday afternoon and have
planned on a fun group dinner Friday evening.
On Saturday, July 3rd we will participate an Autocross will be hosted by the
Redwood Sports Car Club of Eureka, CA at the Samoa AutoX site. We plan on reprising our Saturday night dinner at
Mazzotti’s on the Plaza in Arcata. Sunday AM we will head out on the back roads to the Lost Coast then head for home on
Sunday afternoon.
Friday dinner and Saturday dinner are included in the entry. Other meals and hotel accommodations will
need to be paid for separately. Recommended lodging and restaurant stops along the way will be made available in your
acceptance letter *Note: There are no refunds after June 27th, 2010.
